The Rosella is not just a wonderfully functional plant with culinary flowers and fruit it also boasts striking bright red flowers and deep purple/grey foliage. Rosellas are easy to grow, with few pest problems, they are hardy and productive. Plenty of water is needed to maintain growth, flowering and fruit development. Most soil types are suitable, provided they are rich and well-drained. The Rosella is extremely versatile, and is used in tea, desserts, soups, chutneys and jams. Eaten fresh it is said to be a good source of vitamin C and is used in many herbal remedies throughout the world.
Growing:
Can grow to 1.5m in just a few months.

Soil:
Prefers warm temperatures & moderately rich, well drained soil.
Maintenance:
1 tablespoon of organic fertiliser such as dynamic lifter early each growing season, followed by and half a table spoon toward the end of the growing season.
