The Lomandra hystrix is one of the most popular Lomandra species. Will grow in almost
any climate, soil, location or situation. Use for erosion control, weed suppressing,
mass planting, ground cover, feature planting, in pots. Grows to about 1m around.
Almost zero maintenance, but some fertiliser will help it look its best.
Growing:
Lomandra hystrix will grow in complete full sun and also up to 90% full shade, hystrix is one of the most shade tolerant Lomandra varieties. It needs a sheltered coastal aspect with protection from sea winds and is tolerant of high humidity. It will grow inland in frost free micro climates, it handles cold to –1ºC & very light frost.

Has a high tolerant to dry conditions, needs little watering. Increase waterng in warmer months.
Soil:
Tolerates most soil types and planting conditions. Suited to containers
Maintenance:
Trim foliage by half in spring every 3 to 5 years, if needed. Fertilize with slow release.
